And maybe I'm crazy, or simply have shit taste, but it is the most fun I've had with a jrpg in years. But the important thing is, despite technically being a parody, it is a full-fledged game in every single area. The games is chockfull of gags, mini-games, visual references and jokes, and the more you grew up with japanese gaming (and the random western reference) the more you will recognize in almost every area. You can't even tell it is not japanese, it's that well made. The important thing is though, it is all high quality, not some crappy rpg maker game. So, despite being a love letter/parody of japenese gaming in general (there's very little to no western influence in this game, despite being a western game), at its heart, bones and blood is the jrpg genre, from its structure (basic level up system, action jrpg combat driving most of the game), plot, characters to overworld/progression and quest design. To get it out of the way, it's for PC (not sure about any other versions). So, now after close to 25 hours later, I say, you guys gotta play this shit. So I have been wanting to shill recommend this game ever since I spent a few hours on it and fell in love, specially since I saw next to no buzz anywhere, but I didn't want to give it my seal of approval without finishing completely first.
